Who is Dairy Cares of Wisconsin?

Whether it’s in their blood or the way each generation is raised, Wisconsin farmers have a reputation of giving back, serving their communities, and assisting others during challenging times. In 2011, a group of folks from the Dairy Industry decided it was time to do just that, and raise funds to help others. As a result, the Dairy Cares of Wisconsin was formed.

Much like those in the Dairy Industry, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin is here to provide support to our communities. They are the region’s only independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children. With facilities throughout the state, they provide kids and their families a wide range of care and support – everything from routine care for ear aches or sore throats to life saving advances and treatment options.

As such, our goal is to provide support for Children’s Hospital to assist with funding for cures of childhood diseases and to help children and parents cope with the pain, stress and worry caused by a serious diagnosis. Each year we continue to ask for your help, and this year was no exception.

On July 8th, 2017, we held our Inaugural Kickin’ It with the Cows Run/Walk benefiting Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. With more nearly 1400 participants, over 100 volunteers, and over 50 supporting organizations the event was a tremendous success. The event even received national recognition having been selected as Runner’s World Magazine’s 5K event of the Day. Lastly, with the communities support the event raised more than $15,000 to benefit Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

On July 22, 2017, we also held our 7th Annual Dairy Cares-Garden Party. In conjunction with our Run/Walk, the organization reached new heights bringing in $207,000 for Children’s Hospital. This helped us raise our total contributions to more than $847,000 for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

As we move forward, Dairy Cares is asking for your help. We need you on our team as one of our amazing sponsors, supporters, participants, or volunteer. Your support will accompany Dairy Cares in building the necessary resources to help Wisconsin’s children!

When we look at all we have accomplished over the last 7 years, we are humbled and deeply grateful for the commitment our supporters have made to changing the odds for children and families who face some very tough challenges.

Please take the time to review our sponsorship opportunities. Our various levels of support include a variety of ways to demonstrate your profound support and have a positive impact on children throughout our communities.

With sincere appreciation,
